For

support by upgrading, free of charge, the burger order of anyone who
registers. It's a great excuse for a ride! And, don't forget that you
can still increase your chances of winning by fundraising right up until
          Ride day, May 25.

Late-breaking
news: We are delighted to welcome Sunoco (www.sunoco.ca) as the most
recent sponsor of B.A.D. Ride XI. Motorcycling and Sunoco gas are synonymous
in most riders' minds. They are definitely so in the minds of
B.A.D. Ride participants this year. The Sunoco station and the Mohawk
Inn comfort stop share a mutual driveway. Not only is this a perfect
place and time to gas up, but it is the only place en route to the end
venue. How do you feel about motorcycling all summer without worrying
about the cost of gas? Sunoco is providing the prizes for the top three
fundraisers: $300's worth for first place; $200 for second place
and $100 for third. We can't think of a better way of saying thank
          you to the riding community!

For those of you who are not familiar with the Canadian Warplane Heritage
Museum, we'd like to share a bit of why we are so excited about
this year's end venue. It is a chance to experience one of the
world's largest displays of operational aircraft under one roof.
Over 40 aircraft from World War II are on display, both indoors and
outdoors. Ongoing vintage aircraft restoration projects are taking place
right in the museum for guests to see. Interactive displays, photographs
and memorabilia are available for your enjoyment. You can "pilot"
a jet trainer, climb into the cockpit of a half-restored WWII aircraft
and then check out the cockpit of a jet fighter. Museum aviation buffs
will be available for tours at your convenience. And, that's just
part of what's going on after you unwind over a delicious barbecue
          lunch.

We know that our relocation of the after-ride party to the west has
created some challenges for our supporters in the east and northeast.
Please know that we didn't mean to cut you out. We hope that you
will consider stretching this year in order to participate on a scenic
ride that is the best one yet and to experience the excitement of the
Museum end venue. We think that it's really worth it... we know
that you will too. And, in recognition of the fact that ride day can
feel a bit long, we've shortened the day's activities. Plenty
of time to get home for dinner. Don't miss the action!
In upcoming newsletters, we'll tell you more about other entertainment
and activities that we've planned for your enjoyment. The Ride
just keeps getting better and better.

Did
you know that one in eight callers to Distress Centres is a victim of
abuse? Emergency services are accessed every day for a caller at risk.
There's a life on the line. Your support makes all the difference.

It was really great seeing so many of you at the Spring Supershow a
few weeks ago. We appreciate all of the kind words of support that you
shared with us. Some of you asked how the Ride got re-energized for
2008. Here's the story: One of our most committed sponsors for
the past several years has been Riders Plus Insurance. You'll
know them best for the distinctive bike bandanas, donated by them, that
have been an important symbol for the B.A.D. Ride. Doug Davis and Mike
Babineau of Riders Plus approached us in the late fall offering to get
more involved in order to help us keep building on the legacy of the
first 10 rides. To quote them directly, "For us it is an extremely
important event, as we know the money raised saves lives and that is
what it is all about." Distress Centres is extremely pleased to
acknowledge the leadership demonstrated by Mike and Doug as the two
new co-chairs. We're also grateful to so many of the original
team members who have continued working as part of a new hybrid team
          to produce this great event!

There
still seems to be a little confusion out there, though, about the fact
that we're really back. We'd appreciate your support in
making sure that the word continues to get out. Not only are we back,
but the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is going to be an exciting
finish to a ride on all new back roads! Participation includes a tour
of the museum with lots of exciting pieces of aviation history to explore.

We're
really excited to be able to do our next test run of the route from
the back of a motorcycle. We've driven it in a car many times
during the past several months and it's been a great drive every
time... it will be an even better ride on a two-wheeler! The official
comfort stop at the Mohawk Inn comes just at the right time en route
and offers everything that you need while you stretch your legs. Stop
by our new sponsor, the Neal Brothers Foods' tent and help them celebrate
20 years by feasting on their tasty homegrown snacks! After 20 years
in the food business they know how to calm a growling hunger on the
          road!

Although participants can register right up until B.A.D. Ride Day, May
25th, May 9th is the official cut-off day for pre-registration and the
chance to double your draw tickets. Who wouldn't want to win the
2008 Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Limited Edition Sportster? Judging
by the reaction we got at our show booth, where the bike was displayed,
it's a beauty! You can still keep collecting donations and increase
your tickets after that date, but anything received beforehand does
double your chances. Register online now (www.thebadride.com)
or mail to the address indicated on the pledge portion of the brochure.
Registration is $75 for rider and $75 per passenger... a slight increase,
          but well worth it. Remember...
100% of donations are tax receipted.

Spring is definitely in the air. The minute the temperature tops zero,
you can hear the roar of bikes on the road. It’s been a long winter
and the promise of the start of the riding season is too strong a lure
          to ignore.

The
B.A.D. Ride Organizing Team has used the past few months to put the
finishing touches on what we hope will be the best ride ever. Our website
has been updated with the details of this year’s event. And, we’re
very pleased to announce that the on-line pre-registration and donation
site is fully active. We’re up and running, giving you ample opportunity
to double your tickets while you fundraise to support crisis support
services for those at risk. “There’s a Life on the Line”.

Our
route master promises that this year’s ride is the most scenic,
meandering through the Halton Hills and up the escarpment on all, mostly
new, back roads. Our official “comfort stop” is at the Mohawk
Inn, a great place to stretch your legs, gas up and check in with fellow
participants. We’re very pleased to announce that amongst B.A.D.
XI’s new sponsors are the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and
The Hamilton International Airport. They are working with us to help
create an unforgettable destination venue. The after-ride party will
be like no other…we can hardly wait! We would like to thank them,
all of our new and returning sponsors for making this happen. In future
newsletters we’ll name them and let you help us thank them all
          for their support.

The
Distress Centres’ B.A.D. Ride Team hopes to see you at the Spring
Supershow on April 5/6, 2008. Please visit our booth at the International
Centre on Airport Road. The show is always a great kickoff to the riding
season. We’d love to say hello to you in person and fill you in
          on this year’s event.

We

B.A.D. Ride XI... Yes, We're Back!

The last Sunday in May is once again B.A.D. Day! Please mark your
calendars for Sunday, May 25th, 2008.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, and the
encouragement of our riders, Distress Centres is proud to announce
the gas is back in our tanks and the Ride is on once again!

The B.A.D. Ride will continue to keep the lifelines open as the
number one community outreach activity supporting the work of our
agency. We're so grateful!

We've kept all of the best parts of the Ride: a signed, unescorted
scenic route; great food; original B.A.D. Ride giveaways; exciting
new bike as the Grand Prize; and, a great opportunity to spend time
with other motorcycling enthusiasts at our AMC start and the end
venue. Our celebrities, including John Derringer and Susan Hay,
are back too!

We've also listened to feedback from past participants and made
some exciting new changes. This year the biker party will be held
at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope. Imagine a
catered lunch amongst the war birds and a new entertainment
package. We'll also be cruising through the beautiful Halton Hills
and up the Escarpment. All new roads. What could be better!

As always, 100% of the monies raised by riders goes directly to the
agency to fund its programs. Please join us and ride to make a
difference!

This promises to be the best ride ever. Our website with on-line
registration should be up and running with all the new information
in early March. Please look for our mailout around the same time.
We want to get those brochures into your hands as soon as possible
so that you can earn the incentive gifts and increase your chances
of parking that grand prize in your garage. The pledge sheets will
also be available at local dealers and other biker-type businesses
by mid-March. If you'd like us to present to your club, please
just let us know. We'd love to talk about the Ride and the cause
that it supports... there's a life on the line!

We'll keep you posted with all of the new developments. Thanks for
your continued support. We're all revvin' for eleven!

Dear B.A.D. Ride Supporter

What an incredible Tenth Edition B.A.D. Ride we had! Despite
weeklong horrendous weather forecasts and rain on the big day
itself, almost 750 (1200 participants) stalwart motorcyclists
participated in the ride. They were, in the end, rewarded with dry
skies for their scenic ride. And, Distress Centres benefited
tremendously from the $210,000 raised for the cause. Thank you
all. Over a million dollars has been raised by supporters in a
decade of great rides. It has totally revitalized the Distress
Centres, Canada's oldest crisis line, and been responsible for the
growth of existing mental health and crisis intervention services
and the development of new ones. The B.A.D. Ride has indeed been
Distress Centres' lifeline so that the agency can be the lifeline
for those in need. What a tremendous contribution to the wellbeing
of our most vulnerable citizens!

Everything does have its natural cycle, though. The B.A.D Ride
team have dedicated 10 years to the growth of this ride. Little
did they realize in 1997 that a decade later they would still be
working hard to ensure a well-organized and fun event. That's real
volunteerism! Distress Centres is so grateful to them for their
incredible contributions…without them, the B.A.D. Ride we know
today would not have been possible. It is, however, now time for
them to follow their other pursuits. So too, for many of our
sponsors. There is a natural marketing cycle and for many of our
long-time supporters it is time for them to turn to other ventures.
Their generosity over the years has made it possible to honour our
pledge that "100% of the monies raised by riders goes to the
charity". We are ever so appreciative.

Given all of the constraints and our commitment to producing the
best possible ride that we can, it seems that the time has come to
hang up our helmets. It is done with pride in our achievements but
also some real sadness at the end of an era. What a "ride" it has
been! Distress Centres and the B.A.D. ride team have made some
lifelong friends and we will all have lifelong memories.

Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the support and interest you
have demonstrated in our cause. We hope that you will consider
supporting Distress Centres in other ways. And, who knows what the
future will hold.

Safe riding,

B.A.D. Ride 10 Sunday May 27, 2007
www.thebadride.com

LAST SUNDAY WAS A GOOD DAY FOR A B.A.D. RIDE --
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Sunday May 27th, 2007, is now history, but everyone who
participated -- whether rider, passenger, volunteer, attendee
or member of the B.A.D. Team -- should feel proud of what
was accomplished at B.A.D. Ride 10.

For some two weeks before Sunday's ride, every B.A.D. Team member
was tuned into Global Weather, The Weather Network, City TV
weather, CFTO weather, CBC weather, and the weather reports on the
Buffalo stations, too, on a regular basis; we read the weather
forecasts in the Star, Globe, Sun and Post every day, assiduously,
looking for the best forecast to tell everyone "well the forecast
I saw said sunny or partly cloudy, with a small chance of rain!"
As Sunday drew nearer, however, the forecasts became more similar,
and it didn't matter what channel or paper we looked at or listened
to -- it was going to rain on Sunday, and the only questions were
how much and when.

Members of the B.A.D. Team and our Distress Centre volunteers began
arriving at the AMC Theatres shortly after 6 a.m. Some of us got
wet riding there, but by the time we arrived the rain had stopped.
As we began setting up, we debated -- inside or outside -- opting
to stay outside 'cause we're bikers and aren't afraid of a little
water!!

Speaking of bikers, riders began arriving a little after 7 a.m. The
first one we spoke with had left Lindsay at 5:30 a.m., and rode
through some pretty heavy rain to get to the AMC Theatres. A good
rain suit, hot coffee, some freshly baked croissants, and making
good use of the lobby and washroom of the theatre to warm up and
get comfortable, made for a pretty good morning.

John Derringer and his wife both arrived in rain gear on John's
Ultra Classic, looking quite comfortable, and, as he told us, ready
to ride. With some great songs belted out by Erin McCallum and Road
Trip, and bikers steadily arriving, the on and off spitting of rain
really did not put too much of a "damper" on the morning's
festivities. Darcy Tucker and his son came on stage to be
interviewed and everything brightened up when Susan Hay joined John
and Darcy.

Just before heading out to Hockley, the Toronto Scottish Regiment
Pipes and Drums led by Pipe Major Doug Swann joined us in a tribute
to members of our armed forces and their families, and then created
an "honour guard" for us to ride through getting on our way.

STAYIN' DRY ON THE RIDE TO HOCKLEY VILLAGE

Although the cloud cover was thick, the rain had stopped by the
time the bikes rolled out of Interchange Way and onto Jane Street.
As we continued north, the sky became lighter, and there were clear
breaks in the clouds and patches of blue as we rode through Colgan
on our way to Hockley.

What a greeting we received riding into Hockley Village. A huge
"WELCOME B.A.D. RIDERS" banner strung across the road, parking
assistance in the lots and on the roads, portable toilets
available, and plenty of refreshments and food on sale. A special
thanks to the Hockley General Store for being so "biker friendly".
By 11:30 a.m., the sun had actually come out and it became quite
pleasant as we walked around, looked at the bikes, talked about the
ride, munched on some chips, had a sandwich or sipped from a
coffee. Indeed, many riders got out of their rain gear before we
departed Hockley for the Riders' Party at Exhibition Place.

GOIN' TO THE RIDERS' PARTY AT EXHIBITION PLACE

The Riders' Party wasn't starting until 1:15, so there was plenty
of time to stretch, talk, look, see and be seen in Hockley.
Following the route to Exhibition Place was easy, as the signs
marked the way very well. We had planned a ride of some 85-95
minutes from Hockley to the Riders' Party, and we know many got to
Exhibition Place about 90 minutes after they left Hockley following
the route we had laid out, taking us through quiet back roads,
major thoroughfares, industrial areas where there is no traffic on
weekends, and some narrow tree lined streets through the exclusive
Kingsway enclave on our way to Lakeshore Road and Exhibition Place.

By the time we got to the Riders' Party, the burgers and sausages
were on the grill, the silent auction tables were full, and
everyone was ready to party.

Many thanks to Gator James and BAD To The Bone for keepin' us
rockin' all afternoon. The contestants in the Pizza eating contest
were having a good time -- I think they were saying they should
have waited for the contest to be over before enjoying their burger
lunch -- but they were talking with their mouths full!! The Toronto
Police Winged Wheels put on another masterful display demonstrating
how skilled riders can make their Police Harleys virtually turn on
a dime, as well as unbelievable high-speed criss-crossing. If we
riders could develop those sorts of skills, the roads would be much
safer, not because we'd ride better, which we would, but because
we'd see, anticipate, and then avoid the cagers trying to kill us!!

The live auction, where we sold 8 wheels, raised over $2,000 for
Distress Centres, and the final draw for the grand prize Harley
Davidson FLHX took place shortly after 4:35 p.m. Three ticket
numbers were called and all three ticket holders were there, with
the one lucky winner taking home a brand new Street Glide, while
the other two received consolation prizes.

WE'RE TALLYING THE FINAL NUMBERS

There were, based on our first quick and dirty look at the numbers,
some 740 motorcycles registered and approximately 1100
participants. While we were ready for more than double the
motorcycles, the Distress Centres will record a little over
$200,000 in revenue from the B.A.D. Ride corporate sponsors and
rider participants. We know the weather forecasts, weather reports
and the weather itself kept many riders away, and we understand
that. Indeed, many of us will ride in the rain if we have to, but
we also do not choose to do so when we have a choice.

To those riders who did choose to ride with us on Sunday, thank you
for demonstrating your support for the B.A.D. Ride, and for those
of you who did register but did not ride, we also appreciate your
donation to the B.A.D. Ride and Distress Centres.

So, all in all, Sunday May 27th was a day when over 700 motorcycle
riders who, together with our corporate sponsors, raised over
$200,000 for Distress Centres, and who, when it was supposed to
rain all day showed up to ride. It was also a day on which the rain
stopped for us to ride from the AMC Theatres to Hockley Village and
then back to Exhibition Place, where we arrived dry and happy, that
turned out to be a good day for the B.A.D. Ride.

With this final edition of the B.A.D. News for this riding season,
we at the B.A.D. Team bid you adieu. You won't be getting any more
B.A.D. News from us for quite some time as we'll be relaxing,
recovering and, of course, RIDING our motorcycles.

If you want to stay up to date with the B.A.D. Ride, check out our
website from time to time where we'll be posting news and
information about the B.A.D. Ride and photographs from
B.A.D. Ride 10.

We hope to see you out on the road (many of us will have the
Riders' Plus Bike Bandana tied to our handlebars), and remember,
always ride safe.
Come rain or shine! The weather will be what it will be, but we're
all set to go and party hearty for the 10th Anniversary B.A.D.
Ride. If needed, we've got great indoor coverage at both the
AMC and the Ex. We've been working hard to make this the best
event ever: more Gift Bag items, including an Anniversary Cap,
great entertainment, the best Silent Auction ever....and more.
You can't miss this! The ride is on and it will be a fun day. If
you'd rather, come down in the morning, and join us at the Ex for

Ready To Ride: B.A.D. Ride 10 Hits The Road This Sunday

With an excellent Victoria Day weekend behind us, I think we can
safely say summer -- and the season when even our fair weather
riders ride -- has arrived. And that means the B.A.D. Ride hits
the road starting at the AMC Theatres at Interchange Way (Highways
400 & 7) this coming Sunday! The B.A.D. Ride team has worked for
the past 9 months with one objective: making the 10th edition of
the B.A.D. Ride the most memorable one yet.

WE'VE CHECKED THE ROUTE AND IT'S JUST GOOD!

Last Sunday, members of the B.A.D. Team together with volunteers
from the Brampton Motorcycle Association (who will be working at
the B.A.D. Ride) met for a dry run of the B.A.D. Ride, stopping at
Hockley Village for comfort and refreshments, and then on to
Exhibition Place. This way, the B.A.D. Team does a final check of
the route and makes whatever adjustments are necessary to our
parking and riding plans, and this year there weren't any. So,
we're ready, but are you?

When you arrive at the AMC Theatres at Interchange Way, once you
park your bikes, make sure to make your way first to the
registration tables to pick up your gift bag, incentive gifts, meal
ticket and draw tickets (if you've already pre-registered) or to
register and receive your rider's package. Once registered, you'll
be able to enjoy the complimentary continental style breakfast
while listening to Erin McCallum and Road Trip and checking out the
bikes and bikers as they arrive. After the opening ceremonies
hosted by John Derringer are completed and the Ride begins to roll
out, be ready for what we think will be an exciting and inspiring
send off for every rider -- so be sure follow the directions you're
given when departing.

LATE BREAKING NEWS:
DARCY TUCKER HAS CONFIRMED HE'LL BE AT THE B.A.D RIDE

We've just heard from Darcy Tucker who tells us he'll be joining us
at the B.A.D. Ride on Sunday. He's not yet sure whether he'll be
showing up in the morning at the AMC Theatres or in the afternoon
at the Riders' Party at the CNE. He told us he can't commit to be
with us for the entire day, but is looking forward to being a part
of the B.A.D. Ride, either in the morning or afternoon, depending
on his other responsibilities, to demonstrate his support for
Distress Centres and the work its volunteers do in our community.
Despite the disappointment of having the Maple Leafs end their
season early, we're thrilled about the silver lining to that dark
cloud -- that is, that Darcy will be with us Sunday.

SILVER DOLLAR BIKER BLUES AND BARBECUE
THURSDAY EVENING MAY 24TH

We're all focused on this coming Sunday and the actual Ride, but,
don't overlook what is always a great way to get into the spirit of
the Ride - the B.A.D. Ride Kickoff Party at the Silver Dollar Room,
where we'll have an evening devoted to biker blues and barbecue,
with Michael White of Q107's House Band taking the stage unplugged
with some of his good buddies and a couple of special guests.

This is the week of the B.A.D. Ride so get ready by joining other
riders and members of the B.A.D. Team for the Kick Off Party at the
Silver Dollar Room, 486 Spadina Ave. (west side, just north of
College St.) for an evening of great music, super food, biker talk,
and great fun. We'll also be previewing our B.A.D.wear at the
Silver Dollar, so if you want to be one of the first to pick up a
B.A.D. Ride collector Tee, join us that evening, or, if you'd
prefer, wait for the Riders' Party at Exhibition Place on Sunday
afternoon .

And, you can pre-register for the B.A.D. Ride at the Silver Dollar
that evening -- bring in your registration form and donations,
pre-register and you'll pick up one extra draw ticket for the grand
prize Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

AN APOLOGY FROM THE B.A.D. TEAM & ITS WEB MONKEY

Some of you may have been receiving duplicate newsletters in your
e-mail. Our web monkey ]{evin has been aware of the problem and
thought he had it solved when we issued Vol. 6, No. 5 of our B.A.D.
News. Well, when Vol. 6, No. 6 was distributed earlier this week,
the same error occurred and duplicate e-mails were received my many
of our subscribers.

We apologize because we know getting duplicate e-mails is annoying.
We do NOT provide our subscription list to anyone and respect your
privacy and your desire to be free of e-mail clutter. ]{evin
continues to work on the problem, trying to track down where the
flaw arises, so please bear with us. In the interim, if you get
two identical newsletters from us, just delete the second one!

We at the B.A.D. Team look forward to seeing you at the Silver
Dollar Room this coming Thursday evening and, more importantly, at
the AMC Theatres at Interchange Way on Sunday morning when the very
special 10th edition of the B.A.D. Ride hits the road.

          B.A.D. Ride 10 Sunday May 27, 2007

B.A.D. Ride's Not Just For Ridin' -- Bikers Party Too

The time for doubling your draw tickets through an early
pre-registration has now passed, but that doesn't mean you need to
stop raising money for Distress Centres. B.A.D. Ride 10 hits the
road in less than two weeks, so there's still time for a little
more fund raising before you decide, "that's it, I'm done."

You've heard about the ride and the route and how we're really
excited about our ride, but the B.A.D. Ride is more, much more,
than just a group ride where you can choose with whom you'll ride,
when and where to stop and start, and the pace at which you ride.
It's also a time for great music, good food, and a time to party.

B.A.D. RIDE PARTYING STARTS AT THE
SILVER DOLLAR ROOM -- THURSDAY MAY 24TH

As everyone knows, the B.A.D. Ride takes place on the fourth Sunday
in May, but because it's such a great rider event, we make a long
weekend out of it, by starting with our fabulous B.A.D. Ride Kick
Off party on the Thursday evening before the ride at the Silver
Dollar Room.

The Silver Dollar Room always puts on a great meal of southern
barbecue ribs, chicken and beans. Add some salads, potatoes, rice,
and fresh bread, and your plate is overflowing. Each year, we
welcome riders to come to the Silver Dollar to meet other riders,
hang out enjoying a cold beer, and talk bikes and rides, and of
course, to party.

This year we're welcoming back Michael White from Q107's House
Band, who is taking the stage unplugged and performing with some of
his friends and some special guests (we're not telling -- you'll
have to come to the Silver Dollar to see who'll be joining him) for
what promises to be a great show. The party starts rockin' at 7
o'clock, so you'll want to get there early to check things out.

Although the deadline for pre-registration through the mail has
passed, B.A.D. Riders can still pre-register at the Silver Dollar.
So, even if you've forgotten to send in your registration form,
bring it with you to the Silver Dollar Room on Thursday evening,
May 24, and pre-register. Everyone who pre-registers at the Silver
Dollar will receive one extra draw ticket and that one extra chance
you'll need to win the grand prize Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

For more information about the Kick off Party, go to:
www.thebadride.com/kickoff.shtml

The Silver Dollar Room is at 486 Spadina Avenue, just north of
College St. on the west side of Spadina Ave. If it's a good night
to ride, come down early on your bike because there'll be some bike
parking available behind the Silver Dollar Room.

THE PARTYING CONTINUES SUNDAY MORNING AT THE AMC THEATRES...

The registration tables will open at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, May
27. By that time, the gift bags and meal tickets will have been
prepared for all of the people who had pre-registered, the coffee
will have been brewed, the juice chilled, the breakfast sweets laid
out and our fabulous morning band, Erin McCallum and Road Trip,
will be on stage ready to play their unique brand of traditional
music with a contemporary flare. Their hot new album "5 a.m.
Blues" is getting airtime around the world, and we have no doubt
we'll be hearing some of their hits from that album Sunday morning.
To learn more about this terrific band, go to their website at:
www.roadtripblues.com

Although the ride leaves at 9:45 a.m. sharp, get to the AMC
Theatres at Interchange Way early so you can hear the Erin McCallum
and Road Trip doing their songs, enjoy your coffee and breakfast
sweets, and check out the bikes and bikers as they arrive. There's
always a lot going on that Sunday morning, so get there early to
register for the 10th edition of the B.A.D. Ride, and enjoy a
leisurely morning before getting on your bike at 9:45 a.m. for
B.A.D. Ride 10.

…AND FINISHES AT EXHIBITION PLACE SUNDAY AFTERNOON

The Riders' Party at Exhibition Place will be rockin' non-stop from
1:30pm onwards, as the riders finish their 155 kilometre ride, park
their bikes and head towards the barbecues and the band. Once
again, we're thrilled that BAD TO THE BONE is back to keep us
movin' and shakin' all afternoon.

The barbecues will be going and we'll have a great meal ready for
riders when they arrive. And, let's not forget our $1,000+ riders
who have raised $1,000 or more for Distress Centres. In
recognition of their tremendous effort, we've set aside designated
tables where they'll be served a barbecued steak lunch while
hanging out with our Grand Field Marshal John Derringer and
Goodwill Ambassador Susan Hay.

Not only will BAD TO THE BONE make us want to get up and dance, the
major motorcycle manufacturers will have their bikes on display,
the B.A.D. Ba-da-bing Pizza Pizza eating contest will take between
sets, the picture tent will be going on outside while the billiard
exhibition, custom bike display and silent auction are taking place
inside. The silent auction table will be creaking we've got so
much stuff you'll want to look at and arrange to take home, and our
latest B.A.D.wear will be laid out for you. While we pride
ourselves on ensuring everyone can have a great time without
putting their hands back in their pockets after they've registered,
you'll still want to make sure you've got plenty of room on your
credit card with the opportunities we're providing for you to bid
on and buy items you may not see anywhere else that once you spot,
you'll want to take (or ride) home.

The Toronto Police Winged Wheels Precision Motorcycle Team will
demonstrate what skilled riders can do on their Police Harleys,
while spotters will be looking for riders wearing t-shirts of
B.A.D. Rides from years gone by. If you've still got the white
t-shirt with the telephone dial from the very first B.A.D. Ride, be
sure to wear it, because there ain't many of them around!!

IT'S YOUR PARTY WITH AS MUCH (OR AS LITTLE) TO DO AS YOU WANT

Some of you have seen the Winged Wheels before, as have we, but
every time they put on a show, they continue to amaze us. As for
amazing things, wait until you see the custom bike display that's
going to be at the Riders' Party. The care, attention and
precision work that goes into creating those custom bikes you'll be
able to get real close to BUT NOT TOUCH really does boggle the
mind. And don't forget our LIVE AUCTION for EIGHT of the TEN
WHEELS we've collected for our riders to take home -- you'll be
able to compete to make the winning bid on the 2-wheeled mountain
bike, the 4 wheeled Tomahawk replica and the two-wheeled classic
Vespa scooter before the winning ticket is drawn for the grand
prize Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

The great thing about the Riders' Party at Exhibition Place is that
you can do as much or as little as you like -- go to the
Manufacturer's displays, have a look at Shawna Aron's race bike
and talk to her about motorcycle racing, compete at billiards with
two top professional women billiard champions, check out our new
B.A.D.wear merchandise, look for that special something on the
Silent Auction table, be ready to bid on some wheels during our
live auction, drool over the custom bikes -- or enjoy your meal,
pick up another can of pop, find a comfortable place on the grass,
and watch the world go by while listening to BAD TO THE BONE. It's
up to you.

Enjoy your Victoria Day Long Weekend and remember, RIDE SAFELY!!

See you at the Kick off Party at the Silver Dollar Room on Thursday
