Ladies and Gentleman… Start Your Engines!
Spring is definitely in the air. The minute the temperature tops zero,
you can hear the roar of bikes on the road. It’s been a long winter
and the promise of the start of the riding season is too strong a lure
to ignore.
The
B.A.D. Ride Organizing Team has used the past few months to put the
finishing touches on what we hope will be the best ride ever. Our website
has been updated with the details of this year’s event. And, we’re
very pleased to announce that the on-line pre-registration and donation
site is fully active. We’re up and running, giving you ample opportunity
to double your tickets while you fundraise to support crisis support
services for those at risk. “There’s a Life on the Line”.
Our
route master promises that this year’s ride is the most scenic,
meandering through the Halton Hills and up the escarpment on all, mostly
new, back roads. Our official “comfort stop” is at the Mohawk
Inn, a great place to stretch your legs, gas up and check in with fellow
participants. We’re very pleased to announce that amongst B.A.D.
XI’s new sponsors are the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and
The Hamilton International Airport. They are working with us to help
create an unforgettable destination venue. The after-ride party will
be like no other…we can hardly wait! We would like to thank them,
all of our new and returning sponsors for making this happen. In future
newsletters we’ll name them and let you help us thank them all
for their support.
The
Distress Centres’ B.A.D. Ride Team hopes to see you at the Spring
Supershow on April 5/6, 2008. Please visit our booth at the International
Centre on Airport Road. The show is always a great kickoff to the riding
season. We’d love to say hello to you in person and fill you in
on this year’s event.
We
thank you for your continued interest. The countdown has begun to May
25, 2008, official B.A.D. Ride day!
